Though Texan artist David Pryor Adickes (b. 1927) is widely known for his monumental ferrocement sculptures of the U.S. Presidents and The Beatles, he began his career as a painter and continues today to produce some great pieces from his studio in Houston, Texas. Some interesting facts about Adickes; he studied with Fernand Léger in France from 1948-1950 and his work adorned the walls of Elvis Presley's Graceland home (see below). He currently offers selected paintings as Giclee prints on his website.
