My name is Mark Fowler, Mel Fowler's son. I had not seen Mel's paintings. I'm doing a biography on him. If you can add some notes or if you own one of his work let me know, e-mail markfowler1944@ggmail.com thanks M.Fowler
Hi Mark, I love your father's work, but unfortunately I do not own any of his paintings. Please let us know when/if you are planning on posting his biography so we can link to it. Thanks!
I have seen a signed and numbered print of a tuba player with a tri-colored heart coming out of the tuba. What would this be worth to purchase?
Thank you. Have you ever seen the original?
Hi Linda, I don't think I have seen the piece you are asking about. I am not an expert on Mel's work so I wouldn't want to advise you on the purchase/price etc. Sorry I can't help you any further. Thanks for stopping by!
We own 2 beautiful, signed race horse paintings by Mel Fowler. We inherited them from a Great Uncle who lived in Philadelphia. We don't know much about his artwork, but truly enjoy these paintings.
I recently found a Mel Fowler painting of a young woman, about 24x36 on masonite. I also found photos of Mel as a young man and than as an older man. Mark, I would really like to talk with you about making sure the photos are of you father. I'm trying to put together the connection of the art and photos and why my brother, who recently passed away, had them in his collection. I'll send you and email, sometime soon, Harry Bower
I just put a Mel Fowler "FISHING BOATS" litho up on eBay.
Hey Anonymous ebay seller- Cool piece you have up for auction. I added to the post above
I have one of the "Tuba Player" colored etchings that Linda asked about. I bought it in Texas in the 1970s and have loved looking at it all these years. It never fails to make me smile.
