These two paintings from James E Marcell were added to Matt Murphy Studio's offering this week. Both works are priced at $1,200 each. I have never heard of James E Marcell before, so I attempted to find additional pieces and information about him but was unsuccessful. According to the comments on the offering, James was an art teacher from Minnesota and had exhibited at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. The style of these paintings remind of one of my favorite mid-century artists, B.C. Binning.
